I have just finished the tour with The Staves and it has been such a blast. Thanks to all involved organizing and coming to the gigs! Here's a new video made by the lovely guys from Cock and Bull Tv
Delighted to announce i'll be supporting The Staves on their up and coming tour throughout the UK, Scotland and Eire next month!

Where will I start? It's been a while folks since i've updated my website!
I've done the Honey Tears from the end of October till the 12th of november. I went to a good few places in Holland, Germany, Belgium and Ireland. I was not on my own completely. Mark de Groot (guitar/bass) and Louis van Sinderen (drums) backed me up in Germany. We had a jolly good time! After that i went to Ireland to do two more gigs in Ireland. The last one was in Galway and stayed there for another three weeks! After an amazing time in Eire I traditionally took the ferry to England and i'm in London now. I'll keep you guys posted!! xx
ps: Check out the photo's online and on facebook. There made by Katharina Gebhardt.

After a few long nights of cutting, folding and gluing i've finally finished all the new handcrafted EP's. Also posters and bags have arrived. Thank you Martijn Kuijten and Renee Vugs! If you'd like to purchase any of the products on the photo you can come down to one of the gigs. See tour dates section... x

Christof, hailing from the lowlands of Holland, was in his early life inspired by his classical singing mother and guitar picking/singing father. Soon he was humming along to Mozart in the back of the car at the age of 5.
In October 2007, Christof was lured by the bohemian bright lights and the smoky winding cobble-stoned late nights of Galway, in the west of Ireland. He remained in Galway for 4 years, learning all the tricks and trades as a troubadour, starting off busking and working his way up the ladder. The lyricality of his songs and his voice, abundant in strength and sensitivity, charmed the hearts of all who heard him busking, and he quickly became a popular performer in venues around the city.
December 2009 saw him recording an EP with the legendary bass player Trevor Hutchinson (The Waterboys and Eric Bibb) who also produced the EP. The ultra dynamic and tight drummer Dave Hingerty (Josh Ritter, Frames and the Swell Season) joined Christof during the recording of his debut EP “Springtime”. He launched the EP with the Staves from London.
In 2010 he was touring with an Irish band called “Grada”, taking him to England, Germany and Denmark. Some flying visits where made to London to support Matthew and the Atlas, Fred and Joel Plaskett.
In 2011 he supported the great Tim O’Brien on his New Zealand and Australian tour. Christof played solo shows at Port Fairy Folk Festival and Blue Mountains Folk Festival.
Once he got back on Dutch soil, after the inspiring trip, Christof found out more about his roots while working in a nursing home helping his granddad. Christof sees him as a legend and a big inspiration. He was a well-known miller, baker and actor around the area of Handel, Netherlands.
Christof is getting ready to immerge himself and leave a footprint in the London indie/newfolk scene later in 2011.
